Dr. David Arredondo is a medical doctor, clinical psychiatrist for adults and children, forensic expert and director of both The Children's Program and The Office of Child Development. An author, expert witness, lecturer, and consultant, David's work has been featured on PBS; he has been interviewed on NPR, MSNBC and local outlets nationwide; and he has testified on behalf of children for the ACLU. His work has been cited in U.S. News and World Report and most recently in The New Yorker. Born and raised in the poorest per-capita county in America, David went on to graduate from Harvard College and was the first Mexican-American graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. Not one to rest on his laurels, David has also traveled the world in search of experiences in all walks of life: Painting in the South of France, working with Native American Shamans in Mexico and South America and studying Buddhism, Taoism and Sufism he has combined his education, experience and extensive study of spiritual, religious and philosophical thought to color the wisdom expressed in his large body of work. He has published and lectured extensively nationwide on the causes of disordered behavior including impaired impulse control, post traumatic reactions, personality disorders, subtle learning impairments and impaired decision-making. Dr. Arredondo is also a former member of the clinical faculty of the Stanford University School of Medicine. |
